I am attempting to compile and disseminate details about Masonic email groups, newsgroups, and other forms of Masonic communication using computers, and to make them available to everyone (thanks to Bill Hickey for supplying a good deal of information listed below). Antients yahoogroup Freemasons preserving antient traditions is an email group set up by a brother in Australia who would like to see many of the older masonic ways - rituals and ceremonial traditions - returned to and ceremonies performed in true and antient form (if such a thing exists!). I am a relatively young freemason and am sure that many both young and old have similar views, that unnecessary changes have taken place over many years, and this offers us a chance to discuss alternative rituals, rites and ceremonies within the bounds of our obligations of course. Perhaps we can get into just what is an "antient landmark" and what is an "innovation" too.  This is not to stifle progress, or the enlightenment of truth, but to encourage a look at changes that have occurred and those which have not occurred, and to ask why - and how freemasonry can remain both relevant to society and in touch with its deeper meanings and purposes. "Yahoo Grand Lodge #1 F&AM" yahoogroup Yahoo Grand Lodge No. 1 F & AM is the first Internet Grand Lodge created on June 7th, 2002, in order to provide an interface between Freemasons from around the globe and from different Rites and Constitutions and have discussions about Freemasonry with them and with Non-Masons who are curious or have interest in the Craft. To achieve this members of Yahoo Grand Lodge have been running a chat room on yahoo called "Freemasonry Chat - On The Level" over the past five years and more. This chatroom was the inspiration behind the formation of Yahoo Grand Lodge. M.W.Bro. William R. Fischer officiated as the first Grand Master, followed by M.W.Bro. James Deans, who succeeded him on 30th June 2003, followed by MW Sis. Betty Langenberg who was elected to the office of Grand Master on 18th July, 2004.
